Jane Cooper-Neville: Director Talking Health Network Ltd



Profile:

Jane Cooper-Neville is one of the founding Directors of Talking Health Network Ltd. She has 20 years multi disciplinary experience of working within the Third Sector and NHS. She has been at the forefront of the development of lay led self-management for people living with long-term conditions for the past 15 years. She was Director of Self-Management at the Long-term Medical Conditions Alliance and was responsible for leading the introduction of the Chronic Disease Self-Management Course (CDSMC) to the UK voluntary sector. She led the development of Ss2Q, a cross sector quality assurance framework and self-assessment tool for lay led self-management, and the creation of the Quality Institute for Self Management Education and Training (QISMET). Jane has a first class degree in Health Social Science and an MSc in Medical Sociology. She has a Certificate in Transactional Analysis Counselling. In January 2004 her contribution to the ongoing development of the knowledge base for lay led self-management was recognised with the award of an Honorary Research Fellowship from Coventry University.
